Tetralonia is a genus of bees ( Apidae ),called longhorn bees in German. According to recent phylogenetic studies, this genus is placed as a sub-genus of Eucera .

However, it is still viewed as a separate genre by various authors. Other authors also put the species that are otherwise counted to Tetraloniella in this genus. The species belonging to Tetralonia (and Tetraloniella ) differ from the other species of the genus Eucera in that they have three cubital cells ( Eucera s. Str. Two cubital cells).

Almost 20 species of Tetralonia (all from the Old World) have been described worldwide .

In Central Europe there is only one species, the mallow longhorn bee, Tetralonia macroglossa = Tetralonia malvae = Eucera macroglossa (valid name). It occurs in Germany ( Kyffhäuser , Markt Hohenwart , Griesheim ) and Austria (Burgenland, Lower Austria, Styria), from Switzerland there is only historical evidence.
