Textile pretreatment
In textile technology and finishing, pretreatment is the preparation of textiles for the next process steps ( dyeing , textile printing , finishing ).
The textile pretreatment comprises the following areas:
- Rough cleaning (tapping, brushing, vacuuming and sanding)
- Pre-finishing ( singeing , scissors )
- Desizing
- Beuchen (alkaline decoction) / enzymatic cleaning (textile industry)
- Acid pretreatment
- bleaching
- Mercerization / causticizing / alkalizing
- Treatment with liquid ammonia
- Treatment with optical brighteners
- Thermosetting of synthetic fibers
