Textomat

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Textomat is a word processor from the provider Data Becker from Düsseldorf , written in assembly language for the home computers Commodore C64 , Atari ST , Commodore Amiga and Schneider CPC . There was also a version for the PC.

The software was part of a series of application software from Data Becker , all of which had the abbreviation -mat in their names in those years . So there was the database Datamat , the spreadsheet Kalkumat , the music creation software Synthimat and other applications.

This software was sold in a sturdy, white, red-edged A5 folder: an early standardization of the appearance (“ corporate design ”), which the products from Data Becker (mostly books on computer applications ) have retained until today (as of 2006) .

Textomat for the C64 appeared in 1983 , the improved Textomat Plus version in 1985 . Textomat ST appeared in 1986 as one of the first word processors for the Atari ST .
