Thai-Chinese International School

The Thai-Chinese International School ( Thai : โรงเรียน นานาชาติ ไทย - จีน , Chinese : 泰國 中華 國際 學校 , TCIS) is a non-profit private school in Thailand .

The school is located in Muban Bang Phli Niwet, Amphoe (district) Bang Phli , province of Samut Prakan .

School profile

The school has around 100 employees and teachers who look after around 900 students (as of 2009). The students are multilingual and often come from multicultural backgrounds, some of them have multiple nationalities.

The school offer starts with the pre- kindergarten and the kindergarten and goes up to the secondary level (12th grade). The core subject consists of the US curriculum. Since the Thai-Chinese school has a trilingual orientation, the students must complete at least one hour a day in Mandarin Chinese and Thai in addition to the English material lessons .

Training goals

The school would like to offer a sustainable range of courses based on US standards that take into account Chinese, Thai and international conditions. Particular emphasis is placed on intellectual skills, as well as intercultural skills and the training of global citizens.

history

The school was founded in 1995 with the purpose of teaching the Taiwanese enclave in Bangkok as well as other groups in English.

After the construction of Suvarnabhumi Airport , it is only 15 minutes away from Bangkok's international transport routes.
