The Thala Fjord is a fjord on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It is located east of the Stornes peninsula in the Larsemann Hills .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it on the basis of aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 and named it as pollen ( Norwegian for deep bay ). The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after the research vessel MV Thala Dan , which first sailed the fjord in 1957.
