Tharman Shanmugaratnam

Tharman Shanmugaratnam ( Tamil : தர்மன் சண்முகரத்தினம்; * 1957 in Singapore ) is a Singaporean politician ( People's Action Party ). Prior to 2007, Shanmugaratnam was Minister of Education. He has been Minister of Finance since 2007, Minister for Human Resources and Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore since 2011 .
Tharman Shanmugaratnam is married to Jane Yumiko Ittogi, a lawyer of Sino-Japanese origin with whom he has four children (three sons and one daughter).
