The weather the better

The quiz segment The Wetter The Better ( German  The wetter the better ), was filmed in Sandcastle Water Park in Blackpool . Two school teams each consisting of a faculty and three students competed against each other in four rounds:

In the first round, the students sat in a wetsuit over a swimming pool and answered three questions to score points. Anyone who did not give a correct answer was thrown into the water. If all three questions were answered correctly, Ross King asked the audience Save or soak? ( German:  "Retten oder eintunken?" ) Ross then carried out what he felt was the majority of the audience.

In the second round, the teams received one rubber duck per point. These were placed on a podium and defended by the respective teachers in American football outfits against sponge throws by the students of the opposing team, who tried to throw the plastic ducks off the podium within 30 seconds. The remaining ducks were the starting points for round 3, in which the students could win further points in time games.

In round four general knowledge questions were asked that could be answered with a buzzer . The number of points won increased the level of the water tanks that were set up above the faculty and were tipped over them at the end of the show.

This segment was later decoupled as a standalone show for a season and broadcast on BBC 2 .
