The Alphabet of Manliness

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Alphabet of Manliness (Engl. "The A-Z of masculinity", published on 1 June 2006 at Kensington Books ) is a satirical book by George "Maddox" Ouzounian , covered it and ironically treats the issue of masculinity in its various forms. The author likes to describe it as: “A book so manly that it's sentences don't even have periods and needs to be shaved” (German: “A book so manly that its sentences don't even have periods and it has to be shaved "). The book is on the New York Times bestseller lists (where it ranked second) and Amazon.com 's.

content

The book is organized alphabetically, similar to a lexicon, with each letter dealing with an aspect of masculinity, none of which should be taken seriously. So the letter "N" stands z. B. for the actor Chuck Norris and in the associated section u. a. whose house, a glowing volcano, is described, which portrays the action star's self-image ironically. Other sections include humorous texts on male toilet etiquette and behavior while driving. As usual with Ouzounian, the humor is drastic and controversial.
