The band The Awesome Machine from Sweden ( something like : "The terrifying great machine") was founded in 1996. You can generally assign them to the direction of Hard Rock , whereby the psychedelic elements, which differ from piece to piece, indicate a stoner rock influence .
history
In 1998 the band released their first record: The Awesome Machine 10 " (initially only on vinyl in their own production, later on CD under Ellington Records ). This was followed by ... it's ugly or nothing (2000), Under the Influence (2002) and theirs So far, last record The Soul of a Thousand Years (2003), under People like you , a German label. In addition to these official records, there were several small vinyl editions, split albums and numerous compilations on which TAM participated.
There have been several line-up changes over the course of The Awesome Machine's existence (see info box on the right). These were mostly justified with dissatisfaction with the musical style of the band or illness-related problems.
The band broke up in 2006, primarily because the members wanted to realize themselves in their own projects, including On Parole, Mother Misery and Stonewall Noise Orchestra .
Her last performance was on March 10, 2006 in Borlänge, Sweden .
Music genre
Their style of music has often been compared to Kyuss , although the band never particularly liked that comparison. Of course, because of the strongly distorted sound, comparisons were made with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath . They are usually assigned to the hard rock / stoner rock categories .
