The Ball is a computer game developed by Teotl Studios . "The Ball" is a first-person shooter released by Tripwire Interactive in 2010 . It was supposed to be a modification for the PC game Unreal Tournament 3 , but the Unreal Development Kit made it possible to turn the mod into a stand-alone, commercial game. The game received various awards, including the game at the Make Something Unreal (a kind of convention , at which the best games based on the Unreal Engine, are chosen) the second place, which was awarded with 40,000 US dollars .
