Band history
Theo Keating and Simon William Lord formed the duo in 2006. Shortly thereafter, they were signed to Southern Fried Records in the UK and Iamsound Records in North America . Keating and Lord previously played in the bands The Wiseguys and Simian. In 2008 her self-titled debut album was released. The first single Repitition contained guest vocals from Damon Albarn .
Her song Full Moon was part of the soundtrack for the movie Twilight - Bis (s) zum Dawn . Her second album When Animals Stare was released in 2011 and was also released as an acoustic version.
Music genre
The Black Ghosts play electro with dark and somber lyrics that are cynical and full of doubt. In addition, Keating's grandfather was a director of various awesome films , which explains the band's preference for horror topics. Musically they are not only influenced by other electro musicians such as Timbaland or Daft Punk , but also by singers such as Serge Gainsbourg and David Axelrod .
