The Blanks is an American a cappella - Quartet .
The group became known primarily through repeated guest roles as Ted's band in the comedy series Scrubs , in which band member and actor Sam Lloyd played the unstable hospital attorney Theodore "Ted" Buckland . In the series they are called "The wretched failure" or "The worthless peons".
history
Sam Lloyd, George Miserlis and Paul F. Perry met while studying at Syracuse University . When they later moved to Los Angeles , they met Philip McNiven there.
In 2004 the group released their first album Riding the Wave on the Parody Records label . It includes almost all songs sung in Scrubs up to the fourth season and allegedly unauthorized conversations with the crew members of the series, which means that a close relationship to Scrubs is retained on the album.
The two band members Sam Lloyd and Paul F. Perry also play with two other musicians in the Beatles co-association The Butties .
The band could also be heard in the intro of the ZDFneo late night show NeoParadise .
