The Butterfly Effect is an Australian alternative and progressive rock band that was formed in Brisbane in 1999 . The quartet's musical influences were evident in both alternative rock bands such as Muse and art rock bands such as dredg . Since its inception, the band has released three studio albums and a large number of singles.

history

In their home country Australia, the single A Slow Descent , released in 2006, stayed in the charts for five weeks, while the 2008 album Final Conversation of Kings entered the ARIA charts at number 3. Outside of Australia, no release of the band landed in the charts. After the last single Eyes Down (2013) - without Clint Boge, instead with Paul Galagher as the singer - the band's website officially announced the breakup after a long break.

A tour with the original cast is planned for March 2018.
