The Casualties (German about "The Deaths") are a street punk band from New York City founded in 1990 .
history
The group was formed in 1990 and its music style follows the tradition of the English hardcore punk of the early 1980s. This also applies to the appearance of the musicians, which is based on the prevailing fashion at the time, which still defines the punk cliché today.
The casualties are set up very professionally compared to scene standards, for example an extensive range of merchandising items is available. They are well known from tours on several continents. Parts of the scene accused them of “selling out”.
The line-up of the Casualties has changed several times since they were founded, the only remaining founding member was singer Jorge Herrera until 2017. In 2012 The Casualties signed a contract with Season of Mist and released their eleventh album in September of the same year. Her latest album was released in 2018 with the title Written in Blood. For the first time David Rodriguez took over the lead vocals after the departure of the band's founder and previous singer Jorge Herrera, who left the band on a friendly basis in 2017.
