Rami (born 1976) and Farid (born 1975) were born in the Old City of Jerusalem to a family devoted to the arts. So the brothers came into contact with various arts at an early age and soon learned the high art of the classical Arabic music styles Ghazal , Hija'a , Taqsim and Zajal . The brothers developed into true virtuosos and together they play almost all Arabic instruments such as Buzuq , Chabbabeh , Kamantsche , Kanun , Katem , Nay , Oud , Riq and Tabla .

Until the late 1990s, Farid and Rami Chehade played numerous concerts in Arab countries and represented the music of the Middle East in some international music festivals. The duo, which is now very popular in the region, was then “discovered” by the well-known artist and producer Michel Elefteriades and has been produced by him ever since.
