The Cold -

The Cold is the tenth studio album by the US thrash metal band Flotsam and Jetsam . It was published in September 2010 a. a. in the USA, 2011 in Germany.

Emergence

In the summer of 2008 the band began recording the album. The recording had to be interrupted because producer Ralph Patlan went on tour with the solo band of Korn guitarist Brian Welch . The band decided to wait for Patlan and could not continue working on the album until the end of 2009. The album cover was designed by Travis Smith . After recording the album, guitarist Mark Simpson left the band for professional reasons, despite the good reviews.

The extended version came out with two bonus tracks that were recorded at Club Citta in Tokyo in 2005.

reception

The album received very good reviews. The Dutch magazine Aardschok named the record “Album of the Year” 2010. In German Rock Hard , the record was rated “Album of the Month” by the editors with an average rating of 8.0. Götz Kühnemund wrote that the album was inspiring "in one piece" and that the "advance praise" from the Netherlands was "completely right".
