The Cowsills

The Cowsills receive a gold record (1967)

The Cowsills were a popular American singing group in the 1960s, after which the series " The Partridge Family " was born.

Act

The large family clan of the Cowsills decided one day to make a career as a singing group. In the mid-1960s they got a record deal with a small record company and recorded the single "All I Really Wanna Be" . The song turned out to be a commercial flop, but it caught the attention of someone in charge of a major record company. And that's where the Cowsills got in in 1967. "The Rain, The Park And Other Things" was the name of their first fast pop number, which was a million seller and awarded a gold record .

Millions of success number 2 then followed in 1969 with a version of Hair from the musical of the same name. There was also a gold award for this. Then, in the early 1970s, the group began to fade. In America it still has the nickname "America's first family of music".

Some family members stayed in the music business. John Cowsill has been accompanying the Beach Boys as a touring musician for several years .
