The Cut (English for The cut is) a shallow and rocky interspersed Strait on the north coast of South Georgia . It lies between Babe Island and the west side of the entrance to Cobblers Cove .
Discovery Investigations scientists mapped the waterway in 1929 and gave it its descriptive name.
