The Dan Band
The Dan Band is a Los Angeles , California based band formed by actor and comedian Dan Finnerty. The band is mainly known for their covers of mostly female pop stars. In the cover versions, swear words and vulgar expressions are added to the original text.
Dan Finnerty became known through his cover version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler , through the film Old School and also through his participation in films such as The Terminal and Starsky & Hutch . In 2005 the debut album The Dan Band Live was released , which is a pure cover album by various English singing artists such as ABBA . In 2007 their second album Ho: A Dan Band Christmas was released . This album is a one-hour concert recording directed by McG and Steven Spielberg . In 2009 they starred in the feature film Hangover .
