The Dust Connection is a Dutch NeoProg and progressive metal band from Tilburg , which was founded in 2003.

history

The band emerged in 2003 from the breakup of the Forever Times band and was founded by guitarist Martijn Balsters, bassist Niels van Dongen and drummer Robert Spaninks. A short time later, singer Jeroen Voogd and keyboardist Sander Heerings joined the band and thus completed the line-up. The band recorded their first demo and released it the following year. She also performed at ProgPower Europe in 2004 and then supported Evergrey , The Gathering and Devin Townsend . In 2008, Jorg Kurten joined the line-up as the new bass player and work on the debut album began. In October 2009 the band reached a contract with Snakebite Records and released their debut album Trails on December 11th with this label .

style

The band plays a mixture of classic Progressive Metal and NeoProg and is compared to the band Novalis .
