The Västerviks IK is a 1971 founded Swedish Hockey Club of Västervik . The team has been playing in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan since 2016 .

history

Västerviks IK was founded in 1971. The team played several times in the then second-rate Division 1 in the 1990s . In the 1999/2000 season , the team entered the now third-class Division 1, but rose to the now fourth-class Division 2 at the end of the season . Only in the relegation of the 2007/08 season succeeded in returning to Division 1. In the 2010/11 season , they rose again to Division 2, but achieved direct promotion the following year .

In 2016, the club rose to the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan .
