The Fall of Every Season is a Death Doom band from Trondheim , whose only member is Marius Strand.
Band history
According to his own statements, the founding was by Strand in autumn 2004, where he experimented with calm and melancholy sounds at the beginning and later supplemented them with aggressive and melancholy elements of Death Doom. After a while, his 14-minute debut, Her Withering Petals, was released on the Internet, which he viewed as a kind of manifesto of his intended expression. After getting a good response, he decided to produce a demo. This was released in the form of Neglected's Motif in 2005, after which he was signed to the Norwegian record label Aftermath Music in 2006 . Under this label he also produced his first album, From Below , in 2007 , which received generally good reviews. A second studio album was released in 2013 with Amends .
style
The style of the band is assigned to Death Doom . The lively use of acoustic instruments , elements of ambient and progressive metal shapes the style and leads to comparisons with Opeth , Anathema and Rapture . There are songs such as Sysiphean in which only acoustic guitars and some electronic elements are used and no instrument of a typical band line-up in metal occurs. The texts address melancholy , grief and despair .
