The Force is a Paraguayan thrash metal band from Asunción .

history

The band was formed in 2007 from the breakup of the band Overlord. Mike Martinez took over the post of singer and guitarist, while Sebass Román played bass. Both previously worked for Overlord. Together they looked for more members and found drummer Miky Doldán, who was replaced shortly afterwards by ex-overlord drummer Cesar Ferreira. Carlos Carvallo joined the group as a further guitarist. There followed appearances all over Paraguay with many national and some international artists. In December 2007 their first demo, Old School Metal Onslaught, was released . In January 2008 the group signed a contract for three albums with the Brazilian label Kill Again Records . In July 2008, the band went into the studio to record their debut album, which was released in December under the name Possessed by Metal . After the recordings, Sebass Roman and Cesar Ferreira left the band and were replaced by Juan Barrios and Luis Almada. The release was followed by tours that included performances in Paraguay as well as concerts in Brazil and Bolivia . In 2010 the recording of the second album began. During the recording, drummer Luis Almada left the band and was replaced by Bruno Romero. With this line-up, two appearances in Argentina followed . The band was also heard on the split release Thirsty of Metal , which also featured the bands Ursus , Dominus Praelii and Strike Master . In 2011, the next album Nations Under Attack was also released on Kill Again Records.

style

The band plays classic Thrash Metal, which is based on the music from the San Francisco Bay Area of the 1980s.
