The Greenberry Woods were an American four-piece power pop formation, founded in 1989 by the two songwriters Ira Katz and Matt Huseman when they were still students at the University of Maryland , competed by Huseman's twin brother, Brandt, at the E- Bass and Miles Rosen on drums .

history

After various local successes in Baltimore - Katz and Huseman had returned after completing their studies - and the signing of a record deal with Sire Records, the music group released two albums Rapple Dapple and Big Money Item , as well as the singles Trampoline and Super Geek . The Greenberry Woods split up in 1996 due to problems, on the one hand caused by the merger of Sire Records and Elektra Records and the accompanying dwindling support for the music group as well as internal problems, based on a side project initiated by the Huseman brothers called Splitsville after Sire Records released her from her existing contract. Katz then founded the band Wonderfool, while Rosen traded the music business for a job as a mortgage banker .
