The Gray Mare and Her Colts.

The Gray Mare and her Colts ( German  the Gray Mare and her foal ) is a neolithic chamber grave ( English chambered tomb ) in a Long Barrow , about five kilometers north of Chesil Beach at Abbotsbury in Dorset in England .

The Gray Mare and her Colts is on a plateau. In the southeast is a dry valley, the water of which has poured into the Bride River.

The south-east-north-west oriented mound remnant is still about 24 m long and about one meter high. Two large stones still stand from the collapsed chamber at the southern end. Several others lie on the ground, some of them offset. There is some resemblance, if not in size, to the West Kennet Long Barrow .

During the excavation in the early 19th century, human bones and pottery shards were discovered.

About 2.0 km east is the Hellstone . The restored Kingston Russell stone circle is about half a mile away to the northwest.
