action

The Guard is about the crew of a Canadian Coast Guard lifeboat, the Cape Pacific. She is responsible for rescue operations in Port Hallet Bay . The team is involved in a variety of missions, for example rescuing overturned fishing trawlers or aborted canoeists. But there are also tensions within the crew. For example, there is a guerrilla war between the captain and first mate Laura Nelson. She tries to discredit him at every opportunity because she was passed over during the promotion (to captain of the Cape Pacific).
