The Heritage at Millennium Park (Engl. Heritage or heritage ) is a skyscraper on the 130 N. Garland Court in Chicago , Illinois . It was completed in 2005 and has a height of 192 meters with 57 floors. The building was designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz , architects of the Legacy Tower . The Heritage is the 36th tallest building in Chicago. As is often the case with newer buildings, the facades of existing buildings have been integrated into the design of the Heritage .

The Heritage is just west of Millennium Park , with uninterrupted views of Millennium Park, portions of Grant Park, and Lake Michigan . It's right across from the Marshall Field and Company Building on Wabash Avenue . It has its own indoor pool, fitness studio, party room, roof terrace and parking garage. The building bears a slight resemblance to One Rincon Hill in San Francisco , which was designed by the same architectural firm.

background

The high-rise is integrated into the extensive underground pedestrian walkway system in the city center. In addition to condominiums, the ground floor Heritage also contains retail space.

Mayor Richard M. Daley considered moving to Heritage . In the end, however, he decided to stick to his residence in the South Loop.

According to the 2000 census, 16,388 people live in the Chicago Loop . More recently, Forbes Magazine dubbed the loop's zip code 60602 as the hottest zip code in the country , with upper-priced buildings like the Heritage at Millennium Park paving the way for other buildings like the Waterview Tower , The Legacy in Millennium Park, and the Momo . The average selling price for residential property was $ 710,000 in 2005, according to Forbes, and the average selling price at Heritage was $ 1,283,000 in 2006 (based on data from the MLS and Rubloff).
