The Jets (Dutch band)

The Jets is a Dutch pop band from Utrecht , which became famous between 1964 and 1967.

Band history

Founding members were Nico Witkamp, ​​Karry Mulder, Tonny Mulder, Eddy Geurtsen and Peter van Meel. The group made it into the Dutch charts with two singles : the cover version of the Shirley Bassey hit Goldfinger rose to number 5 in April 1965, while Pied Piper made it to number 2 exactly one year later. 1968 the band split.

In 1983 there was reunification. Since then, The Jets have occasionally performed live again.
