The Jets (Dutch band)
The Jets is a Dutch pop band from Utrecht , which became famous between 1964 and 1967.
Band history
Founding members were Nico Witkamp, Karry Mulder, Tonny Mulder, Eddy Geurtsen and Peter van Meel. The group made it into the Dutch charts with two singles : the cover version of the Shirley Bassey hit Goldfinger rose to number 5 in April 1965, while Pied Piper made it to number 2 exactly one year later. 1968 the band split.
In 1983 there was reunification. Since then, The Jets have occasionally performed live again.
