The Leonardo is a skyscraper in Sandton , part of the metropolitan municipality of Johannesburg , South Africa . The building was completed in 2019. It has 56 floors for mixed use, 11 floors as an office and the remaining 200 apartments. At 228 meters, it is the tallest building on the African continent . It replaced the 223 meter high Carlton Center in Johannesburg , which held the title for almost 50 years.
