The Minaret (English for The Minaret ) is a 1065 m high and towering rock pillar in the south of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises from a ridge that extends from Mount William in a northeastern direction.
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out rough surveys in 1944 and more detailed surveys in 1955. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave it its descriptive name in 1958.
