The Nimmo Brothers are a British blues rock band .

history

The band was formed in 1995 by brothers Stevie and Alan Nimmo (both guitar and vocals) in Glasgow; previously they had a group called the Blackwater Blues Band that had released an album. The Nimmo brothers had various accompanying musicians over the years.

In Glasgow, the Nimmo Brothers recorded their first album Moving On (1998) before they got a contract with Armadillo Music. In 2001 they released their first album Coming Your Way with Armadillo, where their following albums were also released.

Alan Nimmo has been performing with his band King King since 2009 . His older brother Stevie is with the Stevie Nimmo Trio. Nevertheless, the Nimmo Brothers still exist.

In 2015 the Nimmo Brothers went on a UK tour to mark their 20th anniversary. In 2015 and 2016 they received a British Blues Award for best blues band.
