The Notorious IBE
The Notorious IBE (short for International Breakdance Event ) is an annually in Heerlen in the Netherlands be transmitted breakdance -Event. The IBE now includes several different battles at several different locations within the city of Heerlen and is comparable to large music festivals in terms of the structure of the schedule and the distribution of the venues. The first IBE took place in Rotterdam in 1998 under the direction of Marcel Haug and Tyrone van der Meer.

1998
In 1998 the IBE was organized by the founders Marcel Haug and Tyrone van der Meer for the first time in the nighttown in Rotterdam. In addition to live graffiti and rap performances , the focus was on the battles between many breakdance crews known at the time such as Battle Squad , Flying Steps , South Side Rockers , Second to None , Crazy Force Crew , Crazy Force Belgium and Ykanji
1999
This IBE has become particularly popular due to the competition between Salah and Bionic Man .
2000
Due to a lack of financial support, no IBE took place this year.
2001
The Toprockbattle , the Footworkbattle , the Powermovebattle and the Battle of the Year Benelux were newly presented in the schedule this year . Also new was the All battles All (everyone against everyone), in which Killabeez , Starforce , Connexion and Supercrew faced each other together with Wanted .
2002
For the second time, the Battle of the Year Benelux was held at this IBE. In addition, the new battle system Seven2smoke was included in the IBE program for the first time.
2003
Further innovations were established at the fifth IBE. This time, no individual breakdance crews were invited, but all-start teams from Germany , France and the USA . The Battle of the Year Benelux was withdrawn from the program after this IBE. The stand-up dance battle and the competition The longest BBoy move have been added to the program .
2004
The event has been renamed from IBE to The Notorious IBE . The all-battles-all principle with three all-star crews was retained. The battle variants Freaks come out at night and Blind Date Battle were experimented once, but these were not included in the program of the following IBEs.
2005
The now firmly integrated All Battles All was expanded by a fourth all-star crew from South Korea . The battle between the teams from the USA and South Korea received special attention. However, the battle had to be interrupted after both teams got into a fight.
2006-2007
In these two years the IBE had to be canceled for financial and organizational reasons.
2008
This time the IBE was relocated to Heerlen. The All-Battles-All-Teams this time were from Korea / Japan, USA, Europe and Russia / Ukraine.
2014
This year at the IBE in Heerlen, Lil 'Twister ( The Saxonz ) Vs. Paco in the final opposite. This year's winner is Lil 'Twister from The Saxonz crew from Saxony.
