The Originals (band)
The Originals were a successful Motown sound R&B and soul group that was founded in 1966 and initially existed until 1982. In addition to Walter Gaines ( baritone ), Freddie Gorman ( bass ), C. P. Spencer and Hank Dixon (both tenor ) sang there . The vocal group had hits like Baby I'm for Real (1969), The Bells (1970) and Down to Love Town (1976). They also worked as backing singers for Marvin Gaye , Edwin Starr and Stevie Wonder .
