The Others are a British rock band from London .
history
The band was founded by Dominic Masters , who was asked in a pub that was mostly frequented by musicians if he also had a band. Dominic answered yes to this question and thus had his first appearance in that very pub in his pocket, even before the band was even founded. After a few rehearsals with friends, The Others finally appeared for the first time.
The band gained notoriety through their live performances, especially through so-called guerrilla gigs . The venues included a tree in central London , the zebra crossing in front of Abbey Road Studios and an appearance on the subway .
The band also has a very close relationship with their fans, especially with their (main) fan club, the 853 Kamikaze Stage-Diving Squad . Many of them also have Dominic Masters private cell phone numbers and can celebrate with the band at aftershow parties.
In 2005 her self-titled debut album The Others was released . In order to get a contract for their second album from their current record company , at least 40,000 CDs must be sold in England from their debut.
Another highlight of The Others' ideas is the publication of the singer's private number in the booklet of their single William .
In 2005 they received the John Peel Award For Musical Innovation from NME for their innovative ideas .
