The Outsiders were an American rock group that had some successes in the mid- 1960s , primarily in the USA .

Tom King played in a number of amateur bands since the early 1960s before he decided to start a band himself. This is how the group "The Starfires" came into being in 1965 . It quickly became popular in the Cleveland , Ohio area and was awarded a recording deal that same year . In early 1966, the group released their first single "Time Won't Let Me" under the new name The Outsiders , which immediately became a hit and made it into the top five of the American charts.

The second hit was a new version of the song "Respectable" , originally by the Isley Brothers . Both songs came from the LP "Time Won't Let Me" . After that, the success subsided, and the "outsiders" disbanded again in the late 1960s. The singer Sonny Geraci founded the band "Climax" in the early 1970s , which released a million-seller with "Precious And Few" .
