The Pearlfishers is a Scottish pop band from Glasgow , which is led by the singer and songwriter David Scott (* 1964).
General
The band has existed since 1989, David Scott has been a professional musician since 1984.
The band was described by critic Michael Edwards in 2007 as "one of Scotland's best-kept musical secrets". The band includes drummer Jim Gash, bassist Dee Bahl and Duglas T. Stewart. The predecessor band were the BMX Bandits .
The 2007 album Up With the Larks was named one of the top albums of 2007 by the Sunday Mail music critic Billy Sloan. Her 2014 release, Open Up Your Coloring Book , has been compared to the music of Paul Simon and the Beach Boys .
