The Periodic Table of Videos, or Periodic Videos for short, is a series of videos about the chemical elements and the periodic table of the elements published by Brady Haran , a former BBC journalist, in collaboration with the University of Nottingham . The team includes Martyn Poliakoff , Peter License , Robert Stockman , Stephen Liddle , Deborah Kays, Neil Barnes, Samantha Tang and other chemistry faculty members. In December 2017, the channel had over a million subscribers for the first time.

Filming

Filming for the video series began in 2008, with a video being made for each chemical element, but without following a script. The videos were later recorded again in a higher resolution and sometimes in more detail.

financing

The project received a grant of 25,000 from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council pounds , to make for more videos.
