The Rockettes are a show dance group from the United States . It was 1925 in St. Louis ( Missouri founded). The Rockettes have been dancing at Radio City Music Hall in New York since December 27, 1932 .

The group is considered to be one of the best show dance groups in the world. The Rockettes are known for particularly synchronous and linear formation dance with 36 dancers, in which the formation partially rotates in a straight line as a whole or two partial formations of 18 dancers rotate in opposite directions or in the same direction.

The Rockettes consist of 80 dancers in the form of 2 complete ensembles with 4 replacement dancers each. All dancers must be 5'6 "to 5'10½" tall, i.e. 167 cm to 179 cm in height. When the dancers are arranged in rows, they appear sorted by size so that the differences in size are less noticeable.

The Rockettes' best-known show is the Christmas Spectacular , which has been staged at Radio City Music Hall in New York City since 1933 .

The Rockettes played for the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump on January 20, 2017 in Washington, DC The engagement is said to have led to internal disputes.
