The Saddlestone ( English for Der Firststein , in Argentina Cerro Mirador for viewing hill ) is a 380 m high nunatak in the north of Grahamland on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Tabarin Peninsula , the northern extension of the Trinity Peninsula , it looms between Mount Carroll and Nunatak The Pyramid . It is separated from the latter by the Saddle Pass . Only 45 m of its total height is visible above the ice masses at the head of the Kenney Glacier .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out measurements and the descriptive naming of a particular stone in the roof ridge in 1955 .
