The Sinderellas

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sinderellas are a German artist group founded in 2009 who combine their songs with the attributes of New Burlesque . The deliberately ambiguous band name is an allusion to the fairy tale character Cinderella and the English word “sin” ( German sin ).

history

At the beginning of 2009 the group consisted of five members; now there are four of them. The band members, Nathalie Tineo, Belle la Donna, Lily of the Valley (Hamburg) and Eden (Berlin), gained experience in show business even before their time at The Sinderellas and have already achieved success as showgirls, models, singers and dancers. Here they stood on stage with the burlesque dancer Dita von Teese . In 2009, joint events brought the artists together and the idea arose to combine burlesque and eroticism with modern sound with retro style elements from various genres and extravagant fashion. The record company Warner Music Germanysigned the group. For a year, The Sinderellas worked with Swedish producer Stefan Örn in Stockholm on the songs for their debut album “Secrets & Sins”, which was released on October 26, 2012 in Germany. Shortly afterwards the album was also released in Austria , Switzerland and Poland .

Since October 2012, The Sinderellas have performed their musical-erotic live show "Secrets & Sins" three times a week at Club Gruenspan in Hamburg's Große Freiheit and show a mixture of sensual burlesque dance, shows, elaborate costumes and songs from their debut album. Songs that cannot be found on the album are also played live. The group is supported by a six-member band as well as light and video projections.
