The taxi gang
The Taxi Gang is the house band of Jamaican reggae - Labels Taxi , founded by Sly & Robbie .
The Taxi label was founded in 1978 by musicians / producers Sly & Robbie in Kingston , Jamaica. The name alludes to Sly's previous livelihood. The label released a large number of singles by various artists, with Sly and Robbie acting as producers mostly, who appear there as a rhythm group together with changing musicians. These include Robbie Lyn (keyboards), Willie Lindo (guitar), Darryl Thompson (guitar), Guillaume Briard (saxophone) and many more.
The Taxi Gang also forms the backing band for Sly & Robbie when performing live.
