The Texas Roadside Massacre (Original title: Roadside Masacre ) is an American horror film by screenwriter and director Scott Kirkpatrick from 2012.

action

Five friends stop in the small village of Blueridge on their way to Springbreak to refuel and eat something. In the diner there, Karen recognizes her sister, who has been missing for a year. Her sister has changed, has a new name, and does not recognize Karen. Her friends do not believe that it is Karen's sister and they are also not surprised at the strange taste of the meat in the diner. Only when they run out of gas on the way, even though they had just filled up before, do they start to wonder.

Nevertheless, they stay in the only hotel in town. In the hotel they meet Vince, who has been stuck there for a month since his car broke down looking for his brother. He explains to the group that something is wrong in this small town. Little by little, the young people disappear or are killed, until the end only Karen and Vincent remain, who are also hunted.

criticism

The film service ruled that the film muddled "film standards of the backwoods and cannibal horrors as well as a breeze of 'Frankenstein' to a boring mixture that is made even more bland by the amateur actors".
