The Uppsala Program for Holocaust and Genocide Studies
The Uppsala Program for Holocaust and Genocide Studies ( Swedish : Programmet för studier kring Förintelsen och folkmord ) is part of a Swedish information campaign focusing on: Holocaust and genocide . Housed in the Center for Multiethnic Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy and History at Uppsala University , the program was launched in 1998. The program is financed by the Swedish government. The Uppsala Program for Holocaust and Genocide Studies has three main missions: research and publication ; Documentation ; and teacher training . The results of studies and research are published by well-known journalists and publicists or printed in the following publications, for example: Studia Multiethnica Upsaliensia, Uppsala Multiethnic Papers, Current Issues and Acta Sueco-Polonica.
The program is in cooperation with many Swedish universities, as well as with leading international institutions in Australia , Germany , France , Israel , Canada , Poland , the United Kingdom and the United States .
The Uppsala Program for Holocaust and Genocide Studies is also an agency of the Austrian Memorial Service .
