Benedikt Werkstätter
Johann Benedikt Werkstätter (* around 1708 in Neumarkt am Wallersee ; † January 12, 1772 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian baroque painter .
Life
The Salzburg baroque artist, often also named painter Benedikt , was appointed high ducal chamber porter and court painter in 1755 . With the cycle of salt mines and salt works , he created important evidence of late baroque industrial painting in the middle of the 18th century .

- 1750: Stations of the Cross in the parish church of St. Valentin in Bad Reichenhall
- 1753/54: Altarpieces in the parish church of St. Martin in Thalgau
- 1757/58: Hallein salt mine and salt works cycle
