history

When the church was consecrated on May 3, 1761, an organ was already in place that cost 300 florins . In 1802, Vicar (1800–1806) Simon Winkler wrote that the upstairs church was in danger of collapsing and that they were considering reducing the organ . According to an appraisal by Hofmechanikus Zillner , a cheaper solution would be to fix the gallery and the organ with "two screws to be attached to the wall [and] two closures". This old organ from 1761 was, as Vicar (1837-1852) Joseph Reitlechner wrote in 1840, worm-eaten and rotten. Therefore built Ludwig Mooser 1839 a new organ with eight registers , the 500 fl. CM cost and [...] by all the organ experienced, the same heard or played himself, praised had been. But already in 1857 Vicar (1852–1866) Johann Ev. Goldberger report the following: “Years ago, significant repairs would have been necessary on the local [...] church organ; yes, at the beginning the two bellows were made so small and low because of the lack of space that from then on not even a bar pleno organo could be played; Moreover, they are so difficult to raise that a strong man has to brace himself and are tired. This may well be the reason why the whole organ is so dreadfully out of tune that one would like to run out of the church for an office and therefore the priest at the altar is often very confused ”. Several repairs followed, but around 1882 the community council decided [...] "to build a new organ with 14 registers with a new gallery in order to gain favorable space for the organ and new seats for the church" and the organ builder Matthäus To entrust Mauracher I. with it. This instrument was finished at the end of October 1882. In 1917 his tin pipes had to be delivered to the armaments industry, which were later replaced by zinc pipes; In 1974 Fritz Mertel gave the organ a new console. The uneven and distorted instrument was replaced by a new one in 2003 with a donation by Paul and Maria Werhahn from Orgelbau Felsberg .
