history

The Salzburg University of Education is the successor to the Pedagogical Academy or the earlier teacher training institute. On November 27, 2014 it was named after the writer Stefan Zweig University of Education Salzburg Stefan Zweig .

tasks

The Salzburg University of Education offers courses for teaching positions at elementary schools , secondary schools / new middle schools, special schools, polytechnical schools and teaching positions in the field of vocational training (vocational schools, middle and higher schools). The Salzburg University of Education also offers an advanced training program for teachers.

Student body at the PH Salzburg

Since July 1, 2015, the student body at the PH Salzburg is a separate body. In addition to the university representatives, two student representatives (STV) have been set up at the PH Salzburg:

The current chairman of the student body since January 18, 2018 is Maximilian Wagner, his first deputy Viktoria Fuchsbichler, and Kevin Gurschner was elected as the second deputy.
