The Pedagogical University of Tyrol ( PHT ) is a center for basic, advanced and advanced training for teachers in Tyrol in Austria . The Tyrol University of Education is a federal institution .
history
The Pedagogical University of Tyrol was founded on October 1st, 2007 in Innsbruck from the amalgamation of the Pedagogical Academy , the Pedagogical Institutes formerly responsible for advanced training and the Professional Pedagogical Academy .
tasks
At the Pädagogische Hochschule Tirol, studies for teaching positions in primary schools ( elementary school and special school ), in secondary general education schools ( new middle school , special school, polytechnical school and general higher school ) as well as teaching positions in the area of secondary vocational education ( vocational school , middle and higher schools).
The Pädagogische Hochschule Tirol also offers a further training program for teachers and elementary teachers, as well as in general educational matters relating to the care of children and young people and adult education.
The Tyrol University of Education sees itself as a member of the scientific community . It initiates research projects and participates in research projects of other educational institutions at national, European and international level.
