The University for Agricultural and Environmental Education (HAUP) is Austria's only educational university for the fields of agriculture and the environment and is located in Vienna .
It sees itself as the pedagogical center for the training of teachers and counselors in agricultural, forestry and environmental pedagogical professions and enables those interested in education to receive scientifically based, professional training and further education.
The University of Agricultural and Environmental Education works with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences and in the North-East Association with other universities in Vienna and Lower Austria. The Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism is responsible for this .

Teacher training courses
The University of Agricultural and Environmental Education offers courses to train teachers for vocational schools in the agricultural and environmental field. In addition, the students acquire qualifications for agricultural and forestry advisory and support services and for adult education.
