The Washington Quarterly

The Washington Quarterly (abbreviated TWQ ) is a quarterly US-American specialist publication for security and international politics . It was published by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC until 2014. Authors are renowned scientists, politicians and publicists from the USA and other countries.

The articles published in TWQ are aimed at generalists interested in foreign and security policy from politics, administration, science, business and the media in over 50 countries. The topics discussed include the role of the United States in the world, the rise of new great powers , missile defense and weapons of mass destruction , the containment of transnational terrorism , regional hot spots, the consequences of global political change and opinion-forming processes in the US Congress .
