The Way He Makes Me Feel is a song composed by Michel Legrand in 1983 . The text is by Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman . In the version sung by Barbra Streisand , it was used as a movie song in the film Yentl . The song was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song .

In a slightly different form, the song reached number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and number one on the Adult Contemporary charts.
